As the Oasis USA zone for the Midwest, we carry responsibility for the whole of the ministry’s work across twelve states. In practice that falls into three parts: weekly campus communities where students belong and grow, online services open to everyone in the region, and wider initiatives open to any young person whether or not they share our faith.
The heart of Oasis. Student-led communities meet weekly on their own campus for one hour: food, games, honest conversation about real student challenges, Scripture, and prayer.
Each community grows around the needs of its own campus and carries its own name. Every one of them started with a handful of students who wished it existed.
These communities are openly Christ-centered. Anyone is welcome to visit.
Students with a Difference is The Oasis’ dedicated education and mentorship program, channeling the organization’s campus presence and volunteer base directly into academic and career support for students.
Where The Oasis provides the community infrastructure, campus fellowships, trained volunteer leaders, and a presence in dozens of states, Students with a Difference is where that infrastructure is put to work for students’ education and career readiness.

We equip young people with practical leadership skills, strong character, and opportunities to serve their communities while preparing them to become responsible leaders.
Through leadership workshops, mentorship, community service, public speaking, teamwork, and other activities, GYLF helps young people build the confidence and skills to lead with purpose.
Every month our teams are out on campuses across the Midwest handing out free copies of Rhapsody of Realities, offering to pray with anyone who wants it, and simply making space to talk.
You can take a devotional and walk away. Nobody will chase you.
Movie nights, games tournaments, prayer walks, exam season survival nights, talk shows, workshops, and community service. The weekly hour is the anchor. These are what turn a meeting into a community.
